Python/Django Developer

Remote Middle, Senior Development

About This Role

A mid-level Python Developer is wanted to join our team full-time. This is a 100% remote position

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to architectural and design discussions for ongoing and new Django applications
  • Following and promoting team coding standards and best practices
  • Peer reviewing other developers’ code
  • Develop cloud-based Python Django software products
  • Working closely with UX and Front-end Developers
  • Designing and creating RESTful APIs for internal and partner consumption
  • Working in an agile environment with an excellent team of engineers

Skills:

  • Intermediate English (reading documentation, occasional team discussions)
  • 5+ years of Python coding skills
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Django framework
  • Strong experience with Django REST Framework (viewsets, serializers, access policies, API documentation)
  • Solid database skills with PostgreSQL
  • Hands-on experience with Redis (caching, session management, message broker)
  • Experience with Celery for distributed task processing and scheduled jobs
  • Understanding of WebSockets and real-time communication (Django Channels is a plus)
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture patterns
  • Knowledge of how to build and use RESTful APIs
  • Strong knowledge of version control and specifically Git
  • Experience deploying, supporting, and optimizing applications in production environments
  • Experience with Docker and ability to navigate Kubernetes clusters (run scripts, check logs, debug pods — DevOps team handles infrastructure)
  • Unit testing with pytest
  • Experience with Sentry or similar error tracking/monitoring tools
  • Google Cloud Platform basics (Cloud Storage, container registries)

Nice to have

  • PostGIS and geospatial queries experience
  • Payment processing integrations (Stripe or similar)
  • Third-party API integrations (accounting software, SMS/email providers, push notifications)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab CI or similar)
  • Experience with Google OR-Tools or route optimization algorithms
  • Dependency injection patterns in Python
  • Firebase integration experience
