STORING CONTENT BLOCKS IN THE LIBRARY AND REUSING THEM

Library Content Blocks can make your life very easy if you are building a website that has many pages with similar content or design features. Any content block can be manually set as a Library block. Once a block is specified as a Library Block it is stored in a library for reuse.

To specify block as library, select from block pop-up menu ‘Mark as library block’ item.

Enter block name in appeared window.

Library content block is marked with letter ‘L’

To insert library block to any page of your site, select ‘add library block’ from the block pop-up menu. This option opens a list of all library blocks that you can select. Select required block. Enter Block name and comment if required.

This block and it's content will be inserted exactly as they were in the original block.

Inserted block is marked with ‘SL’, that means that it is shared and library.

This block is now displayed on more then one page, so the SSM system automatically indicates it as 'shared'. It means that if the content of this block is changed on any page then these changes affect all pages where this block is shown.

To remove shared mark from the block, select from the content block pop-up menu ‘Unshare’ menu item. ‘SL’ mark will be removed from the content block. This operation unlinks this block from other pages and leave it with current content.

To remove block from library, select ‘remove library mark’ menu item from the block pop-up menu. This block will be removed from the library storage.

To display list of pages, that contains proper library block, select ‘view referencing pages’ menu item from content block pop-up menu.
