Business Challenge / Situation

The business of our client was to provide search services over the Internet. While providing those kind of services on its website, our client used a search engine of another company, a major provider of search engine services. In exchange, our client was obliged to put ad banners supplied by a search engine provider along with their own banners on their website. This resulted in shrinking revenues for our client because they was paid only when their own banners were viewed.

In order to solve that problem, our client had to stop using the third party's search engine and start using their own.

Solution / our approach

In response to that business need, our company decided to build a Meta search engine with up-to-date searching capacities. This allowed our customer to discontinue previous service as well as to get rid of the obligations regarding the display of the third party's web ads.

As a result, the client obtained full control over their website. When we completed the primary business task, the customer was offered some other services (e.g. an improved interface of the Web site). We have also provided the client with consulting services focused on increasing the competitiveness of the client's web business.
