Attorney Website Admin - Control Panel Overview
When Attorney Website Admin (AWA) is logged in, there is Control Panel (CP) available on every website page, which allows managing website. CP can be dragged around the page and dropped on any place on the page.
When dragged to some page corner, there appears pin icon (CP top right corner), which user can click to minimize CP. In this case only CP handle is shown in that corner. User should mouse over it to make CP visible.
CP has several tabs. When click on tab, CP collapses previously opened tab and opens clicked tab.
The following functions are available to AWA in Control Panel:
1. Logout
Logs current user out of the system and redirects to website homepage
2. Sitemap
Shows website sitemap – all the pages / links and their hierarchy (tree). Tree nodes:
- website page
- link to some page, links are specially supported in sitemap tree to allow menu items to link to pages with parameters
- edited website page (having unpublished changes)
Sitemap tree functions:
- Drag & drop nodes to change node’s parent
- Drag & drop node to change its position in tree (can leave the node under the same parent, but make it above some other node for example)
- Double click on page node to open that page
Sitemap toolbar actions:
- Add Page – allows to select page template (multiple template pages will be provided by BIT Studios per website – having navigation and header / footer, but no content); enter page name (for sitemap tree); enter page title, meta keywords and description (SEO); specify parent page. New page will be created as a copy of selected template page and opened in browser.
- Create Link – allows creating new link which is treated as a page in sitemap. This link will be used for navigation purposes only. Enter page name (how it will be shown in sitemap) and link URL – can be external or internal with parameters.
- Edit – website page or link, depending on what is currently selected in sitemap tree
- Delete - website page or link, depending on what is currently selected in sitemap tree. This action will delete current page and ALL subpages from sitemap tree. Requires confirmation.
- Publish Page Changes – publishes all the changes on the currently selected page, so changes are visible to all website visitors. CCMS does not support publishing some content blocks within the page, only page as a whole. Requires confirmation.
- Publish All – publishes pending changes on ALL pages in sitemap tree. Requires confirmation.
- Undo Page Changes – performs undo for all the changes on the currently selected page. Similar to publishing, undo can be done for the page as a whole and cannot be applied to specific content block within the page. Requires confirmation.
- Undo All – performs undo for pending changes on ALL pages in sitemap tree. Requires confirmation.
- Open Page – click on some page in sitemap tree and click this icon to open that page in browser. Same as double clicking on page node.
3. Content Management

4. User Management
User Management – allows managing website users, create other admins (AWA users) or Attorney users. All AWA users have the same access to user management – every AWA user can create / edit / delete other AWAs and Attorney users. Attorney users do not have access to user management.
